What I watch
Consider this a place to dump thing I have watched or might want to watch, for various reasons
To watch
2024-01: Went looking for new scifi series as we’re coming to the end of X-Files, these stood out and/or appeared a lot
Love, death & robots - I watched an episode somewhere once and enjoyed it, little random shorts, almost robot chicken-esque
For all mankind - sounds interesting, “alternate reality where space race never ended” and I think former colleagues have suggested it.
Upload - VR themed, so I might enjoy it?
Fringe - “underrated xfiles clone”
The Orville - Seth MacFarlane and startrek, apparently.
Foundation - Asimov based scifi
2024-03
asked Llama2:13b what I might like to watch after Fringe, and got:
- The X-Files (1993-2002): If you haven’t seen the original X-Files series, it’s a must-watch for fans of the genre. It follows FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully as they investigate paranormal cases.
- Stranger Things (2016-present): This Netflix original series is set in the 1980s and follows a group of kids as they battle supernatural forces in their small town.
- The 4400 (2004-2007): This USA Network series follows a group of people who are abducted by an alien race and returned to Earth with special abilities.
- Twin Peaks (1990-1991, 2017): This surreal, mysterious series follows FBI Agent Dale Cooper as he investigates the murder of a young woman in the small town of Twin Peaks.
- The Dead Zone (2002-2007): Based on the Stephen King novel, this series follows a man who develops psychic abilities after a car accident and uses them to solve crimes.
- Supernatural (2005-present): This CW series follows two brothers as they hunt supernatural creatures and save people from ghostly threats.
- The Walking Dead (2010-present): Set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies, this AMC series follows a group of survivors as they try to stay alive and find safety.
- Doctor Who (2005-present): This long-running BBC series follows the adventures of a time-traveling alien known as the Doctor and his human companions as they travel through space and time, saving planets and civilizations from various threats.
- Orphan Black (2013-2017): This BBC America series follows a group of clones who must work together to uncover the truth about their creation and the sinister forces that threaten their lives.
- Colony (2016-2018): Set in a dystopian future where Earth has been occupied by an alien race, this USA Network series follows a family who must navigate the challenges of living under alien rule and resisting the occupation.
I asked Mistal for one more, and it suggested “The Expanse” also.
